What is exercise? Exercise refers to any physical activity that is planned, structured, and repetitive for the purpose of conditioning the body. It is undertaken to improve and/or maintain physical fitness and overall health.
Exercise can include a variety of activities, such as:
Aerobic Exercise: Activities that increase your breathing and heart rate. Strength Training: Exercises that build muscle strength and endurance, such as weightlifting and resistance band workouts.
Flexibility Exercises: Activities that enhance the range of motion of muscles and joints, such as stretching.
Balance Exercises: Balance drill activities that improve stability and coordination.
Engaging in regular exercise can lead to numerous health benefits, including improved cardiovascular health, stronger muscles and bones, better mental health, enhanced flexibility, and a lower risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
